Bicoastal production company Station Film has signed representation firms Siobhan McCafferty and Associates (SM Reps) for the West Coast and Matt Bucher’s Obsidian for the Midwest to represent the company’s award-winning roster of directors for commercials, branded content and digital films. The news was announced today by Station’s Managing Partner Stephen Orent and Partner/EP Caroline Gibney.
“The combined experience of both Siobhan, Matt and their teams brings a thorough understanding of our changing industry,” Gibney said. “We know we can expect to see the best creative for Station’s directors. In Siobhan, we have a resource who has helped shape the careers of some of the industry’s best.”
“What struck us about Matt and Obsidian was their passion to source the best work, hone in on the right talent for the creative and always be pushing the bar,” Orent said. “From both, we look forward to opportunities not only in traditional and digital storytelling but new technology platforms like VR.”
SM Reps, founded by veteran talent agent Siobhan McCafferty, is a top resource for agencies and brands, always working with award-winning high-caliber directors and A-list production and postproduction companies. Obsidian, founded six years ago by talent rep Matt Bucher, has taken the Midwest agency community by storm as a new model firm that delivers intuitive solutions for everything from live-action production, editorial, design and events, to print, interactive, VFX and experiential.
Station Film continues its longstanding representation partnerships with New York-based talent management company Miss Smith for the East Coast, and The Gossip Company for Texas.
